It came in the mail as a sinful temptation – the Kohl’s sales paper with coupons.  Having started a new job about a month ago, I have been in desperate need of nice business pants. I bought some pants from Walmart not long ago, but those haven’t been too tempting to wear. They are just ugly. I deemed them the “cheater pants” but those are going in the direction of “ugly must return to store cheater pants.”

I have been very good at not buying clothes, but we simply haven’t had time to shop. In fact, I haven’t had much time to catch up on this blog….the new job has kept me so busy in many good ways.

Through this challenge so far, I have learned that planning time to shop at places like Goodwill requires time, extended shopping time. When you need a specific size or style, there is only ONE available. Two if you are extremely lucky. That part is hard especially when it comes to pants or shoes. You find one great-looking pair of shoes and its a size 7…I have seen plenty of size 7 shoes – where are those people, they must not like their shoes to donate hundreds of them.

At Walmart last weekend, I found a perfect style of brown tennis shoes for my new job, but they didn’t have my size there either. Probably good thing, because I was really going to get them.

Shoes and pants are the HARDEST thing to buy second-hand. Watch out Kohl’s…..we’ll have to see!
