Although I will be purchasing clothes from second-hand stores, I still want to remain in style. I’ve come up with the idea for a Style Match, where I will be checking fashion magazines for the newest colors, trends and styles, and then looking for the outfit at second-hand stores.

Something for me to keep in mind while “green” shopping during my Clothing Challenge – A reddish pink color called Honeysuckle is the color for 2011, according to the color company, Pantone. Stated on their website, “It’s a color for every day with nothing everyday about it.” Honeysuckle is described as courageous, confident, and vital. I like it. I’m usually a purple girl, but I think everyone needs their spirit lifted and this color seems to do just that. Pantone also states that honeysuckle works with black, navy, charcoal and gray. However, it may also work with green tones too.

While looking in my closet, I did find a potential Honeysuckle color shirt for the spring, made by Guess. Score! This color will be hot this year and I will keep my eyes pealed while shopping.
